Philanthropy

Advocate for Scientific Education for All

  • Latifa Elouadrhiri supported the establishment of the African School of Fundamental Physics and its Applications (ASP) in 2010 and currently serves on its International Advisory Committee.
  • She is also a member of the International Advisory Committee for the African Strategy for Fundamental and Applied Physics.

Diversity and Inclusion

  • Co-directed innovative activities that promote diversity and foster collaboration across genders, ethnicities, religions, geographical boundaries, economic backgrounds, sexual orientations, and abilities.
  • Latifa Elouadrhiri played a key role in creating Jefferson Lab’s first diversity program.
  • Co-founded the following:
    1. The Women in Science and Engineering group at Jefferson Lab.
    2. The Jefferson Lab Extra Childcare Travel Fund.
  • Regular mentor to undergraduate students, graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and professionals at all levels, including selected students from the African School of Fundamental Physics and its Applications.
  • Encourages discussion on diversity at the Center for Femtography through lectures and other means.
